About Heirloom Recruiting
Abbie Lutz
Founder, Heirloom Recruiting
Abbie Lutz understands what it’s like to be “in the industry”. She cut her teeth in hospitality, working in restaurants and bars, and she credits the decade spent in restaurant operations with giving her a deep understanding of the industry’s inner workings and teaching her to effectively read people. Both have served her well in her thriving career as a recruiter. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Georgia State University, Abbie worked with one of the industry’s top national brands and two of Atlanta’s leading independent restaurateurs.
Abbie refined her recruiting skills with an executive recruiting group in Atlanta where she was responsible for scouting engineers and scientists for tech industries. Eager to get back to her roots, she joined TalentServed, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in finding the right new hires for growing hospitality companies. During her seven-year tenure with TalentServed, Abbie grew into one of the firm’s top producers, specializing in placing culinary and front-of-the-house talent in restaurant positions.
In 2020, Abbie launched Heirloom Recruiting, a firm specializing in matching corporate leaders, creative, hardworking chefs and personable, conscientious managers with the vibrant restaurants that need them. She maintains a deep and wide network from which to pull candidates, as she identifies appropriate talent and fills positions for our clients both in Atlanta and across the nation. Abbie believes in giving back and volunteers with the Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides practical and financial support to industry workers who have faced an unexpected crisis. Her continued commitment to the industry that has given her so much makes her the ideal partner for restauranteurs.
